Saving the Future

“People in the future will look back and ask, "Why didn't that generation do anything?"”

To whom it may concern,

People in my generation do not have a great concern over climate change. More people are becoming educated each day, but there has been no great movement in preventing the tipping point of climate change.

The Paris Talks may be able to convince the government to enact laws to help prevent what can happen in the future. If the talks fail and nobody takes action, extreme weather can change our lifestyles. People in the future will look back and ask, "Why didn't that generation do anything?" The answer will be that they did not want to change how they lived their lives for the greater good and the next generations.

I hope that the talks will help not only to convince the government, but to convince everyone. The government alone cannot change what is happening. We need to convince everyone to help. If we cannot stop emitting carbon dioxide, then our children and grandchildren will never be able to go outdoors. They will always be in danger of flooding, hurricanes, and storms. I hope that the Paris Talks will enlighten everyone for the sake of the future.
