Protection...They Deserve It

“I’ve held tight to the ideal and still want to believe that there remains enough decency and compassion of humanity to make the world sustainable and worth living in...”

Two important things I was told in the days of ‘innocence,’ as I too was once a child.
We are moving into a future where we will all become more of a number as opposed to someone with a name.
People over the age of 30 were the enemy.

My experience is at 57 years of age (2015) there is a great deal of truth as to the numeric overriding the alphabetical. Three tell-tale signs:
Technological advances where we are reduced to a string of zero’s and ones.
Digital devices that further isolate us from what we once were, ‘communal.’
And the insatiable appetite for consumerism and $$$

Truth be told; all people over the age of 30 are not the enemies. That is as prejudicial and tantamount to saying that all people under the age of 30 are idiotic dolts.

I’ve held tight to the ideal and still want to believe that there remains enough decency and compassion of humanity to make the world sustainable and worth living in but I must admit it appears to be inching ever closer to the tipping scale of 51/49.

If this series of thoughts survives uncensored in some form, I hope that you would first: Think for yourself and attune your intuition to differentiate and distinguish what many voices on the other side of 30 are expressing.

Unfortunately, most of the people in power are over age 30 and as they edge closer to their demise (regardless of what spews from their lips) their hungering greed to the credo (He who dies with the most toys; wins) far outweighs any real desire to contribute to humanity as a whole or the sustainability of “Mother Earth.”

Fortunately, many people on the other side of 30 with a wealth of great ideas for the good of all humanity will be attending the “Paris Climate Project,” taking place December 2015. I hope that they can communally enact laws with teeth that will end the corrosively, massive destruction of our land, sea, air and freshwater waterways. Hopefully, that will take place so that every molecule is recast in the spirit of preservation as well as renewal so that you will witness the benevolent elements of “Mother Earth” we once did.

The Native Americans have been trying to teach this simple lesson for centuries now. Now there is a culture that knows a little something about “Respecting Mother Earth!”
